　　黃山，位於中國安徽省南部，屬中國南嶺山脈的部分，全山面積約1200平方公里。黃山山系中段，是黃山的精華部分，也就我們要遊覽的黃山風景區，面積約154平方公里。它在黃山市境內，南鄰歙縣、徽州區、休寧縣和黟縣，北連黃山區；這五個縣、區也都屬於黃山市管轄。

　　黃山在中國唐代以前叫黟山，黟是黑樣子，因為山上岩石多青黑青黑的，古人就給它起這樣一名字。傳說咱們中華族的先祖軒轅黃帝在完成中原統一在業、開創中華文明之後，來到這裡採藥煉丹，在溫泉裡洗澡，因而得道仙。唐朝著名的皇帝明皇李隆基非常相信這個說法，就在天寶六年（747年）下了一道詔書，將黟山改名黃山。意思是，這座山是黃帝的山。從那以後，黃山這個名字就一直到現在。
