　　春節的英文單詞

　　春節在英文裡的地道表達是什麼？最常見的.兩個是：Spring Festival 和 Chinese New Year. 這兩個嚴格來講，其實都是正確的。Spring Festival採用的是字面翻譯法，即春天的節日; Chinese New Year則是中國的新年。因為1月1日是New Year. 而春節是中國特色的新年，所以加了一個民族屬性：Chinese. 但是如果兩者非要選一個，建議選取Chinese New Year,這樣會有更多的老外能理解。因為Spring Festival比較字面，生活在中國的老外，或者對中國稍有了解的老外會知道Spring Festival表示的是春節；而很多對中國一無所知的老外可能會以為Spring Festival 是‘春天的某個節日’......所以在中國接地氣一點，可以說：Happy Spring Festival. 如果想要‘安全’一點，國際化一點，可以說：Happy Chinese New Year.

　　這時會有人跳出來說了，憑什麼春節要用Chinese New Year? 又不是隻有中國一個國家過春節，加Chinese的話讓人家non-Chinese(非中國人)的人怎麼辦？所以有時候也把春節叫做：Lunar New Year. 即農曆的新年。因為lunar這個詞表示的就是‘農曆的’；所以日曆叫calendar, 農曆則為lunar calendar. 介紹春節可以這樣說：Chinese New Year falls on the first day of the first month on the lunar calendar. 春節是農曆第一個月的第一天，即正月初一。
