Because many chemical factories discharged poisonous gas without filtering it, cities were covered with so much poisonous gas that people were killed by the air they breathed in. What horrible scene! What we are suffering is only a small part of what the nature once suffered. If we don’t take action to show respect to the environment, we will have to face an increasingly awful situation. Measures should be taken to protect the environment on which we are relying.

　　First governments should forbid destroying vegetation, rivers and lakes, oceans, as and the atmosphere as well. Second voices should be made to announce the public of the importance of protecting the environment. 　　一次，我在街頭看見一個人在抽菸，抽完後連菸頭也不滅，直接扔在了地上。接著，他又開始吃瓜子，吃完的殼隨便一吐。我實在看不下去，就對他說：“怎麼能這樣呢?”他說：“一個小孩子，懂什麼呀，走開。我沒有害怕，對他說：“我雖然小，但也知道這樣不對，何況你大人!而且你還直接把菸頭扔在地上，萬一現在天氣乾燥，引起火災怎麼辦。”停了停，說，“還有瓜子殼，人家看了怎麼想啊，你這是在影響環境。”那人低下頭，沒有說話，我想他會改正的。

　　還有一次，我到堂弟家做客，看見他洗手時把水開得很大，洗完手後他還用很多紙擦手。我看了後對他說：“你怎麼這麼浪費呀?”他聽後，撅著嘴對我說：“就這麼一點，又沒什麼關係!”我生氣地說：“這怎麼會沒關係呢?你知不知道那些貧困山區的孩子們一天只喝多少水?知不知道他們只有多少紙?”可我那不服輸的堂弟卻理直氣壯地說：“不知道!”我嘆了口氣說：“我們比他們要幸福多了，你怎麼不知道知足呢?”這時，堂弟知道了事情的“重要性”，低著頭說：“我知道錯了，我會改正的。”
