  篇一

  There Is a Lady Sweet and Kind-這裡有一位姑娘甜蜜又可親

  There is a lady sweet and kind,

  Was never face so pleas'd my mind;

  I did but see her passing by,

  And yet I love her till I die.

  Her gesture, motion, and her smiles,

  Her wit, her voice, my heart beguiles,

  Beguiles my heart, I know not why,

  And yet I love her till I die.

  Her free behaviour, winning looks,

  Will make a lawyer burn his books;

  I touch'd her not, alas! not I,

  And yet I love her till I die.

  Had I her fast betwixt mine arms,

  Judge you that think such sports were harms,

  Were't any harm? no, no, fie, fie,

  For I will love her till I die.

  Should I remain confined there

  So long as Ph{oe}bus in his sphere,

  I to request, she to deny,

  Yet would I love her till I die.

  Cupid is winged and doth range,

  Her country so my love doth change:

  But change she earth, or change she sky,

  Yet will I love her till I die.

  Thomas Ford

  篇二

  Love me little, love me long-愛我少一點,愛我久一點

  Love me little, love me long,

  Is the burden of my song.

  Love that is too hot and strong

  Burneth soon to waste.

  Still, I would not have thee cold,

  Not too backward, nor too bold;

  Love that lasteth till ‘tis old

  Fadeth not in haste.

  Love me little, love me long,

  Is the burden of my song.

  If thou lovest me too much,

  It will not prove as true as touch;

  Love me little, more than such,

  For I fear the end.

  I am with little well content,

  And a little from thee sent

  Is enough, with true intent

  To be steadfast friend.

  Love me little, love me long,

  Is the burden of my song.

  Say thou lov‘st me while thou live;

  I to thee my love will give,

  Never dreaming to deceive

  Whiles that life endures.

  Nay, and after death, in sooth,

  I to thee will keep my truth,

  As now, when in my May of youth;

  This my love assures.

  Love me little, love me long,

  Is the burden of my song.

  Constant love is moderate ever,

  And it will through life persever;

  Give me that, with true endeavor

  I will it restore.

  A suit of durance let it be,

  For all weathers that for me,

  For the land or for the sea,

  Lasting evermore.

  Love me little, love me long,

  Is the burden of my song.

  Winter‘s cold, or summer‘s heat,

  Autumn‘s tempests on it beat,

  It can never know defeat,

  Never can rebel.

  Such the love that I would gain,

  Such the love, I tell thee plain,

  Thou must give, or woo in vain;

  So to thee, farewell!

  Love me little, love me long,

  Is the burden of my song.

  篇三

  A Secret Garden

  Saying Good-bye to Cambridge Again

  Very quietly I take my leave

  As quietly as I came here;

  Quietly I wave good-bye

  To the rosy clouds in the western sky.

  The golden willows by the riverside

  Are young brides in the setting sun;

  Their reflections on the shimmering waves

  Always linger in the depth of my heart.

  The floating heart growing in the sludge

  Sways leisurely under the water;

  In the gentle waves of Cambridge

  I would be a water plant!

  That pool under the shade of elm trees

  Holds not water but the rainbow from the sky;

  Shattered to pieces among the duckweeds

  Is the sediment of a rainbow-like dream?

  To seek a dream? Just to pole a boat upstream

  To where the green grass is more verdant;

  Or to have the boat fully loaded with starlight

  And sing aloud in the splendour of starlight.

  But I cannot sing aloud

  Quietness is my farewell music;

  Even summer insects keep silence for me

  Silent is Cambridge tonight!

  Very quietly I take my leave

  As quietly as I came here;

  Gently I flick my sleeves

  Not even a wisp of cloud will I bring away
