  I am the principle of the Zhengzhou 19th High School, which is a key high school in Henan province .In recent years, the 100 percent graduates from our school have been enrolled by university, and in addition, 80% graduates in our school have been recruited by national key university. I got to know her as a student of our school. She has been keeping a good balance between the arts and sciences, gaining high grades in each of them.   一、謹慎選擇推薦人

  一般來說,推薦人要儘量選擇名氣大的推薦人,比如美國的招生院校就比較看重推薦人和被推薦人之間有過密切接觸和交流的,你可以選擇學院的院長,學術研究帶頭人,或者是院士之類的名人。

  老師的話可以選擇任課老師中資格威望較高的,至於實習單位的推薦人可以選擇實習期間直接上司。

  二、推薦信組成內容

  1、學習觀念和學習能力

  對頂尖的名校而言,面對兩個A等生,較好的學習成績並不能看出學生的學習過程和學習觀念。

  有的學生學習效率較低,但是,絕對勤奮刻苦;有的學生學習效率很高,掌握和消化知識的速度很快,然後騰出更多的時間去做其他有意義的事情。

  所以,不同的學生有著完全不同的學習方法,在推薦信中要表示出自己的優勢。

  2、學術好奇心和上進心

  如果一個學生希望入讀文學專業,那麼,招生官會關心學生在週末的時候會做什麼。

  會不會抓緊時間一週看一本文學名著?會不會去圍繞某一個名家去做研究?會不會去找導師探討研究方法等等,錄取官需要看到學生是否有濃郁的學術好奇心。

  3、綜合素質和發展空間

  在推薦信中要表現出學生是各方面綜合發展的,並不是埋首故紙堆、固執己見的窮學究。

  錄取官希望從推薦信中尋找到學生髮展空間的線索,預想在四年甚至更遙遠的成長空間。

  三、堅守真實性原則

  雖說要儘量顯示自己的優點,但也不可把自己塑造成“聖人”,要有一定的真實,即合理寫作,體現申請者合理的優勢和特徵。

  在寫作風格上也不要全用套話,儘量寫一些合理的評價語言,可以通過一個具體地事例來體現這些特質,並且一定是推薦人和申請者之間的事例。

  英國留學推薦信書寫禁忌

  1. 老師全知道。你做什麼事情,參加什麼協會,選修了什麼課,得了什麼獎學金,老師都“寫”在推薦信裡了。我想除了導師以外,可能沒有任何別的老師還能夠這麼做。不過也就是教了你一門課,然後一門課幾十個學生。鬼才相信老師能夠對幾十個學生都瞭解到擔任什麼職務,參加什麼活動,選了別的什麼課。

  所以寫得特別玄的,一律是cheating。

  2. 拼命誇獎。老師再好,也不可能把一個學生吹得比自己還要好。然後,就憑在自己教的課裡面學生考了好成績,說“這個學生是我看到最好的學生”--一個學生數分考試成績好難道就一定能夠做研究麼?。這是在侮辱老師的智力。老師怎麼能夠僅僅憑考試成績好擔保一個學生就一定出色呢?

  然後,滿篇誇獎。都是形容詞,就是看不到具體的例子。即使是“例子”,一看也是那種放之四海皆準,隨便誇誰都可以的例子。我打賭,把Miss改成Mr,張三的名字換成李四的名字,那就是推薦李四的推薦信。

  所以除了就事論事,說學生這門課學得很好,學生思路很活躍等等之外。除非有具體的例子,別的誇獎一定有問題。

  3. 找理由搪塞。“我知道這個學生,因為我是她班主任。我跟她很熟,因為她擔任班級職務。...”難道老師“寫”一封推薦信,對於每一點東西都要解釋麼?這個好像下級向上級彙報工作一樣。你認為推薦老師和推薦到學校的老師之間是這種關係麼?

  所以,只要事實陳述,例如“我認識她三年了”,不要理由。凡是拼命解釋怎麼認識學生的,多數不是老師“寫”的。

  4.荒唐的邏輯。“一個學生坐在第一排,她學習就很認真。”“一個學生認真記筆記,她學習很好。”看的人可能感到莫名其妙。
